With the global fleet of private jets doubling in the past two decades, there is now a substantial volume of aircraft with outdated and deteriorating interiors. Sustainability is, rightfully so, already heavily scrutinised in the private aviation industry. Decommissioning operational yet outdated aircraft in favour of a new build unit only exacerbates the unsustainable narrative.

Of special consideration is lighting and how this has a profound effect on the passengers wellness. Circadian rhythms were analysed and bespoke lighting elements created to replicate sunset and sunrise. The intent being to promote sleep or encourage awareness which in turn allows the passenger to acclimate to their destination enroute and reduce jetlag.

The lounge space and adjoining washroom were designed in tandem. Placed at the rear of the cabin this promotes a more secluded and ownable environment. This sense of independence is strengthened by having amenities such as a mini bar, W/C with changing area, full height closet and ample side furniture all close to hand.
The sofa which converts to a full double size bed is offset in the cabin to allow for access to the W/C regardless of position.

Special consideration went into the design, location and purpose of the wall mounted feature light. This floating orb situated behind a specially tinted frosted pane is a key element in promoting wellbeing though sleep cycles onboard. The sequence of this feature light, in conjunction with the overall cabin lighting, is programmed to replicate solar movements of sunrise and sunset. Adjusting to provide the optimal scenario based on flight time and time of day at destination. Creating a real signature element, showcasing elevated craftsmanship and providing a functional promoter of wellness.
