Royal Group Singapore
Offering sublime views of the South China Sea and a sensory experience, the interior architecture of the restaurant and the shaded terrace provide a sophisticated setting for a dining experience that is inspired by Venice’s Lido.
JPA designed the grand double height main restaurant space as a stylish and timeless interior with a seamless connection to the outside and views beyond through the large expansive windows. The two-tone veneer and hardwood columns are topped by an ivory-painted ceiling.
In the private dining room, the ceiling is lowered to provide a more intimate atmosphere but its classical plaster relief surface pattern and exceptional views to the outside world ensure diners here are also able to enjoy the unique setting and the luxurious character of the restaurant.
During daytime, sunlight is filtered through the terrace’s glass roof by an elaborate screen of tensile sailcloth which references the yachts passing through the Singapore Straits.
Combined with this, the aquamarine upholstery, weathered terracotta floor tiles, signature brass bar tables, flowering plants, Black Forest marble bar counter, brass pendant lights and bespoke bar stools capture the essence of the location and its Venice Lido inspiration.
